Atlantic Free Zone sponsored the Second Spanish-Moroccan Conference of the Automotive Industry

Organized by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Tangier and with the collaboration of the Spanish Embassy, they were on the 19 and 20th of May in Tangier


The last 19 and 20th of May was the second conference Spanish- Moroccans of the automotive industry under the sponsorship of the Automotive Industrial Park Atlantic Free Zone. During the ones the participants could know the opportunities of business and investment in the country as well as to have bilateral meetings with companies and Moroccan institutions.


On the 19th it was a conference about Morocco and the opportunities of investment for foreign companies moderated by Rocío Estévez (Secretaryship of the Chamber of Commerce).


Bruno Fernández (Economic adviser of the Spanish Embassy in Casablanca) he described the business opportunities in Morocco for the automotive industry, both for production and for distribution. From his part Javier Navarro presented the industrial park (Tax- Free Zone) Atlantic Free Zone, who promotes the Spanish group Edonia World together with the public Moroccan bank CDG. The park has begun to be built and it will be running by next year. Salvador Albeloa from the company Novatec also took part in the conference, Hassan Salmi in representation of the CRI of Tangier and Tajedinne Bennis of Tangier Med.


During the morning and the evening on the 20th the conference provided bilateral meetings between companies and Spanish and Moroccan organisms, as well as multinational companies (Spanish and foreigners) installed in the country. They participated around fifty companies, fifteen of them with own space in the conference and the rest as participants in meetings B2B.

Between the same ones they were companies like Yazaki, Lear and Grupo Antolin, Banks like the Attijariwafa (Banco Santander) and the BMCE, the Regional Centre of Kenitra's Investments as well as a delegation of the Industry’s Department, the manufacturers' Moroccan association of the automotive industry (AMICA) or the Valencia Association of the Automotive Industry (AVIA).
