CONVENTION FOR THE CREATION OF THE TRAINING CENTRE FOR THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY IN THE ATLANTIC FREE ZONE OF KENITRA

On 6 May the convention for the creation and set up of the IFMIA, Training Centre for the Automotive Industry, was signed during the course of the II Morocco National Industry Conference “Les Assises” in Casablanca.

 

The convention was signed by Mr. Salaheddine Mezouar, Minister of Economy, Mr. Jamal Rhmani, Minister of Employment, Mr. Ahmed Reda Chami, Minister of Industry, Trade and New Technologies, Mr. Javier Navarro Vázquez, Director of  Atlantic Free Zone Management, promoter of Atlantic Free Zone, Mr. Josu Ugarte, President of the Mondragón Corporation, leading company in technical, professional and managerial training centers, and Mr. Joaquín Cezón, President of the Industry and Energy Commission of the Chamber of Commerce in Zaragoza, Spain. The signature of this convention sets the basis for the creation and management of the IFMIA in Kenitra, which is expected to open at the end of 2012.

 

The IFMIA will be located at Atlantic Free Zone industrial park in Kenitra and their aim is to provide technical training to the workforce of automotive industry companies which will be established in the Atlantic Free Zone. The training will be oriented to operators, technicians and intermediate managers.
